Das Bukett ist vielschichtig mit Aromen von Teer und Rauch gepaart mit fruchtigen Noten wie Himbeere und Brombeere. Der Gaumen ist äußerst komplex, eine kraftvoll-samtige Struktur unterstreicht das lange Finale mit Noten von Lakritz, Tabak und Kakao. Die Reben dieses Syrah wachsen am linken Ufer der Rhône auf Hängen, die nach Süden ausgerichtet und windgeschützt sind. Dort profitieren sie von einer idealen Sonneneinstrahlung und perfekten Reifebedinungen. Nach der selektiven Handlese werden die Reben zunächst kontrolliert bei 32°C in Betontanks vergoren und für 4-5 mazeriert. Danach erfolgt die Reifung für 18-20 Monate in bis zu 30% neuen Eichenholzfässern.
