Bislang wurde dieses aus dem angelsächsischen Raum stammende Versicherungsprodukt in seiner Umsetzung unter Geltung deutschen Rechts nur vereinzelt in Fachaufsätzen und Handbüchern sowie einer älteren Dissertation behandelt. Dies ist Anlass genug, sich der W&I-Versicherung in ihrer aktuellen Gestaltung vertieft in einer Monografie zu widmen. Die Arbeit stellt den wesentlichen Inhalt von W&I-Versicherungsverträgen, einschließlich seiner rechtlichen Besonderheiten, dar und untersucht diese unter dem Blickwinkel des deutschen Versicherungsrechts. Dies beinhaltet die Einordnung der W&I-Versicherung als Versicherung im Rechtssinne, die Darstellung besonderer Gestaltungsformen wie die Stapled-Insurance oder die Verweistechnik auf den Unternehmenskaufvertrag zur Risikobeschreibung.
