Simple Habits of Highly Effective Business Leaders: Habits for Ambitious Minds Who Expect Great Value and Zero Fluff , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 33min
Make your dreams come true - habit-by-habit. Are you eager to discover the secret success factors of the world's top business leaders? Do you want to become more effective in your life and realize your dreams and visions? This audiobook will show you over 30 surprisingly simple habits to do these things: We give you the habits for ambitious minds who expect great value and zero fluff. Although it may not seem like it, habits are extremely powerful. People tend to focus on the big decisions in life. We spend a lot of time thinking about the college we should go to or which house we should buy. These decisions are important, but we often forget about all the tiny little habits which eventually define our success, health, and happiness: Skipping your breakfast once is not a big deal. But never eating a healthy and nourishing breakfast will weaken our productivity at work and eventually decide if we get promoted or not. Rising early every day might be tough. But we can use the additional time to work on what's really important to us: building a side business which eventually leads to financial freedom, or working on our main project at work. Daily meditation might be boring. But the reduced feeling of stress and anxiety, improved concentration at work, and better sleep quality eventually decides if you can enjoy your work and live healthy or die of a heart attack at the age of 50. Choosing the right habits and establishing them in your daily life is tough. But every habit that we establish brings us a step closer to our goals. I wrote this in the hope to inspire you to take your fate into your own hands. And if this audiobook will bring just one person one step closer to his dreams, its existence already paid off. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Pete Beretta. Candide (illustrated) , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 182min
Voltaire's Candide can only be described as a satirical novella that was intended to attack the optimistic and backwards way of thinking that was common during the 18th century. Filled with absurd and darkly humorous content, the short work is a highly debatable and thought-provoking piece. The story centers around Candide, the nephew of a baron, who's teacher, Pangloss, teaches Candide that the world is the way it should be and that everything in it is good. Candide is kicked out of the castle, forced into the armed service, flogged, nearly killed, and eventually finds himself stranded on an island. Throughout all of the hardship he endures, Candide tries to keep a positive and optimistic viewpoint as taught to him by his teacher. He eventually meets Pangloss, again, and is surprised to find that Pangloss is diseased and on the verge of dying. Despite the illness, Pangloss still insists that his disease is necessary and reasons that the ship, which brought him the illness, also brought chocolate; and therefore, his suffering is of no great consequence. Candide eventually comes to the conclusion that perhaps the world is only what you make of it, and not inherently perfect or good. Although the story is filled with hardship and surprising bad luck, the overall style is exaggerated and humorous. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Alastair Cameron. Referee
High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The term referee originated in association football (soccer).[citation needed] Originally the team captains would consult with each other in order to resolve any dispute on the pitch. Eventually this role was delegated to an umpire. Each team would bring their own partisan umpire allowing the team captains to concentrate on the game. Later, the referee, a third "neutral" official was added, this referee would be "referred to" if the umpires could not resolve a dispute. The referee did not take his place on the pitch until 1891, when the umpires became linesmen (now assistant referees). Today, in many amateur football matches, each side will still supply their own partisan assistant referees (still commonly called club linesmen) to assist the neutral referee appointed by the governing football association.- Shop: buecher

Who Was Jesse Owens? (eBook, ePUB)
At the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics, track and field star Jesse Owens ran himself straight into international glory by winning four gold medals. But the life of Jesse Owens is much more than a sports story. Born in rural Alabama under the oppressive Jim Crow laws, Owens's family suffered many hardships. As a boy he worked several jobs like delivering groceries and working in a shoe repair shop to make ends meet. But Owens defied the odds to become a sensational student athlete, eventually running track for Ohio State. He was chosen to compete in the Summer Olympics in Nazi Germany where Adolf Hitler was promoting the idea of "Aryan superiority."
