I am constantly amazed – and somewhat bewildered – by the amount of Hollywood and indie produced films that seem to glorify and sensationalize serial killers. And even placing a romantic spin on low life dirt-bags like Ted Bundy is almost too much to bear. The man almost radiated evil like a supernova. What is even more strange is, while filmmakers continue to spew out films starring handsome, normal looking men {Ted Bundy was one of the only men to fit into this category} they seem to totally ignore some of the most prolific and vicious serial killers in history. Now don't get me wrong; I am not saying that I believe that any serial killer should be made famous for their crimes, gain celebrity status. But is has always left me totally confused as to why so many unheard of killers haven't shown up in popular media. Hell, some of these guys even have web sites dedicated to them, as well as a lot of loyal fans and followers of their crimes. Some of them even have 'groupies' who follow their favorite killer's every move, news articles, etc., in order to keep up with them. Some of these groupies have even married their favorite serial killer.  Love is truly blind, I guess. After listening to this audiobook, maybe more people will not only have a more clear view into the mind of a serial killer, but may also be as mystified as I am as to why serial killers seem to be so prevalent in popular media. ungekürzt. Let not the church of today steer you away from reaping the benefits of a great paying job. Many people are being misguided by old-fashioned preachers who do not even have the audacity to defend their "Be Not Successful" doctrine - they just spew their fears onto others. I am here to do the opposite. To encourage To motivate To defend There is no reason to live in fear of success when you have the Bible for edification. We have only one life, and while we are here, we should not take it for granted by not doing our best. No, this is not to have your best life now so you can gain all your wealth and give it away to the poor. This is simply a rallying of words to discontinue the thoughts of financial boundaries to thoughts of financial liberty. Take life by the horns! Yes, even though you’re steering, God's sovereignty still reigns, and there’s nothing that goes without his permission. Therefore, work hard and enjoy your success! The Lord gives, but he doesn’t give freely to the sluggard. It would be a shame for any man to believe that there’s blessings awaiting a couch potato. There are none, and there will be none. In fact, quite the opposite will occur. Take the necessary steps to reap the benefits of hard labor. Let this audiobook show you how you can view success. The goal is to rekindle your passion if it’s gone dormant - or to fan the flames even higher if you are already living out your purpose. Let your passion shine like it did when you first found out what you were good at! - Exanor Sannon ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Larry Herron. Many narcissists go through life on autopilot. They spew words of disdain and dissatisfaction everywhere they go. This spewing is often a recording of whatever the negativistic adults around him said when the narcissist was a child. He memorized racial attacks, bullying from the adults to subordinates, movie quotes where one person was bullying another, and offensive language that others used around him. The narcissist uses the slang that his equally harsh friends used when they bullied others, or the nasty words his siblings used to taunt him when he was a youngster. Narcissists hate their own life. They hate that they have never fit in. They hate that they were bullied as youngsters. They hate that they were left behind or abandoned by many. They hate that they got bad grades in school. They hate that they flunked out of college. They hate that members of the opposite sex didn't give them enough attention. They hate that they have a long list of failed relationships, or that they could never get any relationships started at all. Narcissists hate that they can't live up to the expectations of others. Heck, they can't even live up to their own expectations. They hate that their parents are disappointed in them. They hate that they can't sustain meaningful friendships or relationships anywhere they go. They hate that the adults around them always had expectations that were just out of their reach. They hate that they weren't allowed to play football because of a hovering or over-protective parent. They hate that everything wasn't served up to them on a silver platter. ungekürzt. If you don't know me, that's okay. There were many days I didn't know who I was either...My name is Chiharu Morita. Of course, that is the name on this blog, so that is who I am. The Chiharu you know is only a shadow. Yes, I was in a group called Butterfly Tops. Now, I am a composer. The person responsible for some of the pop songs you hear on the radio. Those aren't the reasons you know me, though. You know me because of Yumi. The woman who comes into your living room every night on dramas, music shows, and radio request lines. The most famous woman in the country.Yumi, as you may know, is my childhood friend. We graduated high school and went to audition for a new girl group they were creating. The rest is history. For you, anyway. For me, I still breathe this every day. Because, I love Yumi. I have, since I was a young girl too stupid to know the words for what I felt. This is my confession. This is the story of not only me, but Yumi, too. Of how we left our town and became household names. Of how I fell in love with her and did everything in my power to protect her from the evil in this world. I did not always succeed.I will not rest until you know the truth. All the lies the agencies and labels tried to make us spew will be known. Maybe, this will mean the end of what career I have left. But if I don't tell this story, I won't know who I am anymore. I want to be more than "the girl who loved Yumi", yet it's the only identity I can ever remember having. For better or worse, let us begin.Set in contemporary Japan, Love, Yumi is the epic journey one woman embarks on to complete the impossible: to save her best friend and the woman she loves from a brutal, all-consuming pop culture world. Contains every situation that entails. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Maika Kawa. Audio sample: https://samples.audible.de/bk/acx0/187495/bk_acx0_187495_sample.mp3. Digital audiobook in aax.

NPR NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY NPR AND MEN S HEALTHB. Rosenberger Rosenberg, neurotic and underappreciated film critic (failed academic, filmmaker, paramour, shoe salesman who sleeps in a sock drawer), stumbles upon a hitherto unseen film made by an enigmatic outsider a film he s convinced will change his career trajectory and rock the world of cinema to its core. His hands on what is possibly the greatest movie ever made a three-month-long stop-motion masterpiece that took its reclusive auteur ninety years to complete B. knows that it is his mission to show it to the rest of humanity. The only problem: The film is destroyed, leaving him the sole witness to its inadvertently ephemeral genius. All that s left of this work of art is a single frame from which B. must somehow attempt to recall the film that just might be the last great hope of civilization. Thus begins a mind-boggling journey through the hilarious nightmarescape of a psyche as lushly Kafkaesque as it is atrophied by the relentless spew of Twitter. Desperate to impose order on an increasingly nonsensical existence, trapped in a self-imposed prison of aspirational victimhood and degeneratively inclusive language, B. scrambles to re-create the lost masterwork while attempting to keep pace with an ever-fracturing culture of likes and arbitrary denunciations that are simultaneously his bête noire and his raison d être.A searing indictment of the modern world, Antkind is a richly layered meditation on art, time, memory, identity, comedy, and the very nature of existence itself the grain of truth at the heart of every joke.
