Surah An-Nahl (The Bees) is the 16th chapter (surah) of The Holy Qur'an, with 128 ayah (verse). It is named after honeybees and contains a comparison of the industry and adaptability of honeybees to the industry of man. Regarding the timing and contextual background of the supposed revelation (asbal al-nuzul), it is an earlier "Meccan surah", which means it is believed to have been revealed in Mecca, instead of later in Medina.  This surah warns against polytheism, saying that the pagan gods cannot create anything (Quran 16:20), and against comparisons between Allah SWT (God) and any created beings (Quran 16:74). It praises Allah SWT (God) for giving the Earth with all its wealth to mankind. According to this surah, all wonders of the natural world, like seas, stars, mountains are proofs of God's infinite power (Quran 16:14).  The verse 66 talks about the miracle in milk formation in cattle: "From what is within their bodies, between excretions and blood, We produce for your drink, milk, pure and agreeable to those who drink it." The verse 67 talks about miracle of vine: "And from the fruit of the date-palm and the vine, ye get out strong drink and wholesome food: behold, in this also is a sign for those who are wise". ungekürzt. In The God Delusion, philosopher Richard Dawkins evaluates popular arguments for the existence of God. The idea that God is not an object that can be accessed and reviewed using human reason is rejected. Instead, evidence that proves with at least 51 percent certainty is presented to prove that God does, in fact, not exist, casting reasonable doubt on the efficacy and usefulness of belief in God. Genuine curiosity as disciplined by a sound scientific method is far more useful than religions. Religion is all too often based on superstition. An in-depth investigation of the intellectual bankruptcies of polytheism and monotheism, the secular beliefs of the Founding Fathers, and the Galton and Stannard prayer experiments underscore this idea. In contrast, the argument for natural selection shows it can account for the whole of human life, rather than the idea that there is one divine creator - a statement that in itself leads to more questions, such as the origins of that single creator.... Are you looking for a different spiritual way to live? Do you feel drawn to an ancient way of life, such as paganism? If yes, look no further. This book will help you learn about paganism and witchcraft.  Paganism basically refers to a wide variety of traditions and rituals that emphasize reverence for nature and the natural order in life. For pagans, spiritual growth is related to the cycles of the earth and they pay a lot of attention to ecological preservation.  Pagans don't believe in monotheism, i.e. in the doctrine that there is only one God. They believe in polytheism, meaning they believe in multiple deities with different religions and rituals. They believe that all objects, places, and creatures possess a distinct spiritual essence and need to be revered, a concept called animism. Some of the modern forms of paganism have roots in 19th century European nationalism. Most of these groups, however, trace their roots to the 1960s. Most pagans are interested in reviving polytheistic traditions, such as the Norse and Celtic traditions. Many of them revive lost rituals, such as celebrating the seasons and the holy days.  With this book, you will be able to gain deeper knowledge about paganism, as well as witchcraft. You will learn the different between the two. You will also learn how you can get started in witchcraft, what tools you need, and what techniques you can use. So, let's get started on a new spiritual way of life that respects each and every thing nature has to offer. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Slade Womack. The Olmec people are widely recognized as the first major civilization of Mexico and are thus generally regarded as the mother civilization of Mesoamerica, making them the people from which all subsequent Mesoamerican cultures derived. In fact, the term Olmec is thought to have originated with the Aztec people, as Olmec in their Nahuatl language means “the rubber people”, a reference to the inhabitants of the land from which they accessed rubber. By and large, the Olmec culture is perhaps best identifiable by their so-called colossal heads, mammoth basalt head-statues wearing helmetlike headdresses found throughout Olmec habitation sites. From a cultural standpoint, their pyramids, open plazas, their ballgame, and possibly even centers of human sacrifice are thought to have established the societal model that subsequent societies like the Maya, Zapotec, Teotihuacano, Toltec, Mixtec, and Aztec would emulate. In the same vein, some scholars believe they also affected the cultural development of the Native American groups of the US and those of Central and South America as well. Proving to be one the most enduring models ever, the religious and cultural structure the Olmec established held reign for more than 3,000 years, and it would likely have endured much longer without the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors.Although the Maya mysteriously disappeared in the middle of the last millennium, their culture survived and was passed down among peoples in the region. As a result, the religion has also evolved, and the conflation of traditional Maya religious beliefs has largely involved a shift from animistic polytheism to quasi-monotheism with continuing aspects of animism. The onset of Catholic religious hegemony influenced all aspects of Maya society, including religious life, and in a move that is typically Mesoamerican, Maya practitioners included aspects into Maya religious practices. Ritual sacrifice continued long after the arrival of the S ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Dan Gallagher. Audio sample: https://samples.audible.de/bk/acx0/122216/bk_acx0_122216_sample.mp3.
