Moshi Moshi Records present One Day All Of This Won't Matter Any More by Slow Club due for release on the 19th August 2016. How do you keep a band interesting after ten years? It's a question Slow Club's Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor must have asked themselves as they started work on their fourth album. The answer seems to be producer Matthew E. White, the master of Southern-gothic folk, whose in-house band at Richmond's Spacebomb Studios provided the consistency and tone the album required. Almost every track was played live in the studio, allowing the long-established session band's natural chemistry to augment Charles and Rebecca's, with the double advantage of recording being very effective, and also comparatively quick. One Day.... contains some of the best melodies they've yet created. The duo's knack for writing hooks and melody has, if anything, become stronger. There are choruses here you instantly feel you've known your whole life, like 'Ancient Rolling Seas' timeless, reassuring refrain of "I'll always be by your side", or 'Champion''s Dolly Parton via-Linda Ronstadt anthem of self-celebration through the darkest times. Perhaps best of all are a pair of songs to be found at the top of what traditionalists would call "side 2"- 'Rebecca Casanova', a slice of widescreen, four-to-the-floor pop that recalls soft-rock giants Fleetwood Mac in the way it channels heartbreak onto the dancefloor, and 'Tattoo Of The King', a tale that takes Neil Young and the Doobie Brothers to the disco.

After writing a collection of lyrics based on his political, social, personal beliefs and experiences, Anglo-Turkish rapper Aslan AK teamed up with producer and composer Mike F to form Class Actions. Class Actions mission is simple: produce accessible music which simultaneously incorporates a message against international injustice. Class Actions are based around a combination of Aslan's aggressive, fast paced rapping style (dubbed as 'Shout Rap'), attention grabbing live act and Mike F's catchy backing tracks. The tracks creatively fuse house, electro, hip-hop, techno, drum n bass and even some reggae mixed with rock. The duo's originality eventually led them to raise money to form a record label simply titled Class Actions. 2010 sees the release of the first ever Class Actions album 'Keep Your Pride'. The album is a perfect mixture of up-tempo hook-orientated tracks like 'Do You Feel Safe' and 'The Underdogs', the sing-along satire of songs such as 'Do As I Say' and 'M is 4 Maggie' and the hard hitting social reality of the title track amongst others. A follow up album will be released the following year and Class Actions are currently playing live nationally. Note all lyrics and music copyright Class Actions 2006 - 2010.

In director Jon Avent's 2008 crime drama RIGHTEOUS KILL, two New York City police detectives-Turk (Robert de Niro) and Rooster (Al Pacino)attempt to track down a serial killer who targets only vicious criminals. This enigmatic vigilante has earned the duo's respect, yet they are duty-bound to apprehend the criminal-hunting assailant, and in doing so they strain the bonds of their longtime partnership. Aiding Turk and Rooster are a fiery younger pair of detectives (Donnie Wahlberg and John Leguizamo) and investigator Karen Correlli (Carla Gugino), who are determined to see that justice is served. The second face-to-face film pairing of De Niro and Pacinothe first being Michael Mann's gritty 1995 epic, HEAT-RIGHTEOUS KILL finds the revered veteran actors working within the confines of a police procedural. Ably supported by Gugino, Wahlberg, and Leguizamo, the iconic performers contribute relatively subdued turns, never fully engaging in their signature dramatic fireworks. Director: Jon Avnet Star: Robert de Niro, Al Pacino, Brian Dennehy, John Leguizamo, 50 Cent, Carla Gugino, Anamorphic Widescreen - 2.35 Audio: Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround - English Subtitles - Spanish Additional Release Material: Audio Commentary - Jon Avnet - Producer, Director Featurette - 1. Digitally remastered edition including 16-page full color booklet with 3,500 word essay, enhanced artwork, new photos and new interviews. When it comes to extracurricular collaborations and spin-off bands, they are, more often than not, prone to malfunction or disappointment, the sum of the parts normally being far inferior to the main attraction. In the case of Shaw Blades this wasn't the case as the partnership produced a surprisingly attractive musical communion, with enough of their familiar styles mixing with a fresh approach. The collaborators in question here are guitarist and vocalist Tommy Shaw, previously a lynch pin with multiplatinum pomp rockers Styx, and bassist Jack Blades who infiltrated the charts as a member of melodic rockers Night Ranger. The two initially worked together (alongside Ted Nugent) as members of the platinum selling hard rock band Damn Yankees, before embarking, during a lull in DY activities, as the high-profile Shaw Blades partnership. It was, in many respects, a marriage made in heaven, the two musicians being uniquely compatible and they produced songs of a timeless and compelling nature. Enlisting the help of producer Don Gehman (best known for his work with John Cougar Mellancamp) and issued in 1995, the duo set about constructing a record that was less hard rock and more rootsy, inviting comparisons to similarly less 'full-on' acts, such as the Spin Doctors, Riverdogs and Crowded House. Above all, the album was a terrific vehicle for the duo's magnificent, mostly acoustic driven, songwriting abilities, including the stand out tracks: 'My Hallucination', 'I Stumble In' and 'I'll Always Be With You'. Sadly, the album flew in the face of the prevailing musical climate of grunge leaving them undeservedly high and dry.

Each dance has it's own rhythm and character. Some of the music was literally written to be danced to, while other pieces were more inspired by the art and movement of dance. Willful Devices (the duo) is a collaboration between composer/computer musician Scott Miller and performer/improviser Pat O'Keefe. The Twin Cities based duo's name refers to the fact that both musicians are manipulating devices, be it a clarinet or a computer, in order to generate sonic material. Anyone who works with these tools knows that, sometimes, despite your best efforts, these devices are not fully under your control, and seem to have a mind of their own. Scott and Pat accept this fact, and even celebrate it, because within this unpredictability lies the potential for unimagined sonic discoveries. Much of the development of their music takes place during that unique time we all know as play. The results are vital, playful, dynamic, sincere, and a product of the connection between Scott and Pat and their unique musical identities. Willful Devices (the CD) documents their celebration of the unexpected and unpredictable. It is a collection of composed, interactive electronics works (Chimeric Night), structured improvs (haiku, interrupted) and free improvs (Lattice XVIIb). The overall vibe of the recording can be summed up in the program notes to Arcata: 'Scott makes decisions, Pat makes decisions, the computer makes decisions. There are consequences.'
