The Bitter Season, Hörbuch, Digital, 427min
#1 New York Times Bestselling author Tami Hoag returns to the bestselling series of her career with a Kovac and Liska case that will delight fans and new listeners alike. A murder from the past. A murder from the present. And a life that was never meant to be.... As the dreary, bitter weather of late fall descends on Minneapolis, Detective Nikki Liska is restless. After moving to the cold case squad in order to spend more time with her sons, she misses the rush of pulling an all-nighter, the sense of urgency of hunting a murderer on the loose. Most of all she misses her old partner, Sam Kovac. Sam is having an even harder time adjusting to Nikki's absence, saddled with a green new partner younger than pieces of Sam's wardrobe. Sam is distracted from his troubles by an especially brutal double homicide: a middle-aged husband and wife bludgeoned and hacked to death in their home with a ceremonial Japanese samurai sword. Nikki's case, the unsolved murder of a family man, community leader, and decorated sex crimes detective for the Minneapolis PD, is less of a distraction: twenty years later, there is little hope for finding the killer who got away. On the other end of the spectrum, Minneapolis resident Evi Burke has a life she only dreamed of as a kid in and out of foster homes: a beautiful home, a family, people who love her, a fulfilling job. Little does she know that a danger from her past is stalking her perfect present. A danger powerful enough to pull in both Kovac and Liska and destroy the perfect life she was never meant to have. Amazon Top 15 Best Seller A full-length stand-alone romantic comedy from USA Today best-selling author R.S. Grey. I was issued a warning: stay away from Ben Rosenberg. As Clifton Cove's resident "king", he thinks he's entitled to anyone and anything. The trouble is, I've spent my whole life following the rules and playing it safe. I know what it feels like to be the good girl. I'm the police chief's daughter and a librarian - for adorable children, no less. An all-nighter with a fictional hunk is about as exciting as my life gets until one day, fate decides to take pity on me and shove me straight into the path of Mr. Off-Limits himself. Just as I suspected, every inch of him promises to be my demise. Up close, he's tall, menacing - a lawyer who looks like he'll bite. A well-behaved girl would do as she's told and avoid him at all costs, but I'm overdue for a little rebellion. So, I ignore the warning and throw caution to the wind. But Ben doesn't just nudge me out of my comfort zone - he thrusts me into a dark corner and presses his hard body against mine, covering my mouth with his hand to ensure we don't get caught sneaking around. In that moment, I finally understand why everyone thinks he's going to ruin me. To him, this is all a game. He wants to tempt me with his dares and taunt me with his words. I should play along. She Has a Secret Surprise Under Her Skirt , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 70min, (USK 18)
Dan was heading out tonight. There was no question about it, tonight was the night that he was going to pick up the hottest girl in town and bring her back to his place for an all nighter. He was tired of working all the time, being in charge at a big company, and having no time for the ladies. So tonight he had planned out 2 weeks ahead of time. All dressed up… check. Phone on vibrate.. check. Condoms… check. Mouthwash.. check. Out the door. Dan then went to a club he had heard about. He heard from some friends that it was the best club to go to here in New York City. As he drove to the club he questioned himself. He hadn't been with a woman in over a year. He had gotten a divorce because of him working all the time, and since then he has worked even more. He never went out with women, or tried dating. He did look at a few dating sights online, but he just never followed through with it. He didn't know what was different about tonight, he just felt like he had to go out. Dan is a handsome man. At 6'2", he weighed about 190 lbs. He is built very nicely. At work the woman are always hitting on him, but of course he acts like he is not interested. His hair is dishwater blonde, and he has piercing green eyes that all the women fall for. It was 9 o'clock in the evening by the time that Dan arrived at the club. A few blocks away he could hear the music. His heart started to race and he thought about just turning around and going back home. What am I doing here? He thought. He wanted so bad to just get into some sweatpants and an old T-Shirt and watch a movie tonight. But no, he was halfway across town, all dressed up in his best tight pair of blue jeans, a wife beater, and a really nice red shirt that was button down, but most men leave it unbuttoned. Pulling up and parking, Dan still was hesitant. Walking towards the door, he almost turned around about a dozen times. As soon as he walked in he thought to himself, “this is a big mistake'. But he figured he'd ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: K . Krutz. Audio sample: https://samples.audible.de/bk/acx0/013983/bk_acx0_013983_sample.mp3. Digital audiobook in aax.- Shop: Audible

Not Gonna Worry
Bob Rasero - NOT GONNA WORRY Bob Rasero, Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist of The Renovators has released his third solo CD. Not Gonna Worry is an acoustic guitar driven collection of mostly new material with some fresh arrangements of old favorites. The album was co-produced by fellow Renovator and bandmate Al Hemberger. With Al on bass, Bob is joined by the third Renovator, brother Ted Hemberger on drums. Matt Noble adds additional bass and programming. The songs are written by Bob with contributions from Al, Ted, Bob Mayo, Tom Percoco and Don Epstein. This great sounding disc represents what Bob and the boys sound like when they are playing in a café or an intimate room where attention to songcraft is highlighted. Songs about love lost, love rediscovered, pain and lonliness, work and struggle, and just plain fun are all here in a very well-recorded and polished package. The title track, 'Not Gonna Worry', sets up the disc with a free-flowing, rockin' acoustic groove that celebrates the idea that it's about time we leave our worries behind and just sit back and enjoy life. Next is 'Ain't That Enough' which cries with the frustration that a good man has trying to convince his lover that he has given his all. 'The Do Without' is a fun, country-style rave up about the need for us all to remember that the best things in life are truly free. 'Who's to Blame' is a fine, soulful remake of a Renovator blues classic. Then comes 'Lonely Christmas' which expresses the pain that too many people feel being alone during the holidays. 'Little Garden' is a rockin', fun blues about a man teasing his lover into an all nighter. 'Baby I'll Try' soulfully describes the refrain of a guy trying to get it right, again and again. 'River Song' is another remake of a great Renovators song, this time simply stated on slide guitar and vocal. 'With These Hands' and 'Lonesome Whistle' take these classic Renovators songs back to their roots, where they rock with acoustic soul and power. The disc closes with 'Even,' a beautiful melody coupled with a sad lyric of loss and frustration. All in all a fabulous collection of songs written, recorded and produced by a very talented and soulful group of musicians.- Shop: odax
