D'Molls
Digitally remastered edition of this 1988 album from the L.A. glam rockers. Includes16 page full color booklet with 3,500 word essay, enhanced artwork, new photos and new interviews. D'Molls sported hair big enough to hide the Empire State building inside, pants so tight that their legs looked like pipe cleaners and enough mascara and lipstick to supply a beauty pageant. That they stood out as the potential kings of the scene was not in question. Originally formed in Chicago by vocalist Desi Rexx and guitarist S.S. Priest, and with connections to Diamond Rexx, Cheap Trick and Enuff Z'Nuff, the band eventually moved to Los Angeles in an effort to solidify not only their line up but also their reputation. The LA and Sunset Strip scene welcomed them with open arms, leading to a contract with Atlantic Records. Issued in 1988, their debut album established them as one of the rising glam rock acts of the time, chasing at the heels of such big sellers as Poison, Mötley Crüe and RATT. Sounding not unlike acts from the time, such as Jetboy, Faster Pussycat and Shotgun Messiah, the album is cocked and loaded with prime slices of provocative anthems, such as 'Crimes Of Fashion', 'All I Want', 'Dressed To Thrill' and 'A-C-T-I-O-N'. Beyond Evil
Architect Larry Andrews and his glamorous wife, Barbara, have just arrived on a Filipino island where Larry, and his business partner Del, are completing work on a new luxury condominium building. Del reveals that he's found them the perfect island home: a centuries old mansion nestled next to the forest. The only problem is that local legend has it that the mansion is haunted by an evil witch named Alma Martin, who was murdered by her adulterous husband, only to rise from the dead and kill him, along with anyone else who comes near her cursed property. As the Andrews settle in, Barbara begins to sense a strange presence surrounding the house and is slowly possessed by Alma's vengeful spirit, who is determined to use Barbara's body as vessel for her to re-enter the world and soon demonstrates that she has no concerns over murdering anyone who tries to stop her.
