Impianto Overdenture

L'overdenture è qualsiasi protesi dentaria rimovibile che copre e si appoggia su uno o più denti naturali rimanenti, sulle radici dei denti naturali e/o sugli impianti dentali. È una delle misure più pratiche utilizzate nell'odontoiatria preventiva. Le overdenture possono essere sia supportate dai denti (convenzionali / immediate) che dagli impianti. Si è scoperto che aiuta a preservare l'osso alveolare e a ritardare il processo di edentulismo completo. Una overdenture è una protesi, la cui base copre uno o più denti, radici preparate o impianti. Una overdenture è di solito usata per i pazienti anziani che hanno perso alcuni denti ma non tutti, rendendoli adatti per una serie di protesi complete. L'overdenture non è rigida nella bocca; è rimovibile. Un vantaggio dell'overdenture rispetto alla protesi totale è che le radici lasciate nella mascella (mascella superiore) aiutano a preservare l'osso della mascella superiore, prevenendo il riassorbimento osseo. Un altro vantaggio è che l'aspetto sensoriale è migliorato. I nervi nelle radici sono ancora presenti, quindi la sensazione è molto migliorata.

Prothèse dentaire implantaire

La prothèse amovible est toute prothèse dentaire amovible qui recouvre et repose sur une ou plusieurs dents naturelles restantes, sur les racines des dents naturelles et/ou sur des implants dentaires. Il s'agit de l'une des mesures les plus pratiques utilisées en dentisterie préventive. Les prothèses peuvent être supportées par les dents (conventionnelles / immédiates) ou par des implants. Elle permet de préserver l'os alvéolaire et de retarder le processus d'édentation complète. Une overdenture est une prothèse dont la base recouvre une ou plusieurs dents, des racines préparées ou des implants. Une overdenture est généralement utilisée pour les patients âgés qui ont perdu quelques dents mais pas toutes, ce qui les rend aptes à recevoir un ensemble de prothèses complètes. La prothèse n'est pas rigide dans la bouche ; elle est amovible. L'un des avantages des prothèses supérieures par rapport aux prothèses complètes est que les racines laissées dans le maxillaire supérieur aident à préserver l'os de la mâchoire supérieure, empêchant ainsi la résorption osseuse. Un autre avantage est que l'aspect sensoriel est amélioré. Les nerfs des racines sont toujours présents et la sensation est donc grandement améliorée.
